A Native American delegation to the United Nations has been travelling down the Hudson River in a dugout canoe for several days now.  The event is called the Two Row Wampum paddle, and it commemorates the 400 year old treaty between the English and the Iroquois nation, recorded in the Two Row Wampum.  The canoe and flotilla accompanying it will stop at noon at the Nyack Beach State Park tomorrow, Wednesday, August 7 for lunch, and land at Parelli Park in Piermont at 5 PM.   After an overnight stay in Piermont, the group will continue its way down the Hudson to New York City.  I hope to be on the Hudson tomorrow, as a member of the Piermont Rowing Club.  We plan to row up to Nyack to meet the this intrepid bunch, and be part of the group escorting the dugout to Piermont.
